Diana Pundole, a dedicated teacher from Pune, has recently made headlines by winning the national championship title in the saloon category at the MRF Indian National Car Racing Championship 2024 held in Chennai. This outstanding accomplishment has not only earned her a great deal of praise but also attracted attention to her amazing journey from the classroom to the racetrack.
Diana’s passion for racing began eight years ago when she received an unexpected phone call from Coimbatore inviting her to participate in a car racing championship. At the time, she was one of 200 women from across India selected for rigorous trials as part of a national talent hunt. Despite initial skepticism and numerous challenges, Diana pursued this opportunity with determination and became one of the top six contenders.
