SACRILEGE IN ROME

With deep sorrow, Cardinal Baldassare Reina, Vicar General for the Diocese of Rome, has announced a grave act of sacrilege that occurred at the chapel of Aurelia Hospital in Rome.

On Wednesday, the tabernacle containing the Blessed Sacrament was stolen from the chapel, causing profound sadness among the faithful and the entire Church.

Cardinal Reina has invited Catholics to offer prayers of reparation during Sunday Mass for this offense against Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist. He also called on the faithful to renew their faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and to exercise greater vigilance in safeguarding sacred places.

Let us join in prayer that those responsible for this act may recognize the seriousness of what they have done, repent sincerely, and return to God through a genuine path of conversion.

Lord Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
