Lord Eddard and Lady Catelyn Stark have five trueborn children: Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon. In addition to their legitimate children, they raised Jon Snow, Ned’s presumed illegitimate son, who is revealed to be the son of Lyanna Stark and Prince Rhaegar Targaryen.
The five trueborn Stark children and their fates shape much of the story across Westeros:
Robb Stark: The eldest son and heir. Known as "The Young Wolf," he was crowned King in the North during the War of the Five Kings but was betrayed and killed alongside his mother at the Red Wedding.
Sansa Stark: The eldest daughter. Initially a naive girl dreaming of marrying a prince, she evolved into a calculating political player and was ultimately crowned the Queen in the North.
Arya Stark: The younger daughter. Driven and fiercely independent, she traveled across Essos to train as a Faceless Man before returning to Westeros and eventually sailing into the uncharted western seas.
Bran Stark: The second youngest son. Paralyzed in his youth, he developed mystical greensight abilities, became the Three-Eyed Raven, and was ultimately elected as King of the Six Kingdoms.
Rickon Stark: The youngest son. He was taken into hiding to protect his identity but was tragically killed in battle by Ramsay Bolton during the retaking of Winterfell.
